Welcome !
This blog was created for the mere purpose of providing a forum to discuss the way forward for Nigerias new found democratic ideals. As we stir ahead with much anticipation and hope for free, fair and a slightly less violent voting process that takes place in the next couple of days, there is a need to reflect on the past 8 years of democracy. Hoping that what lies ahead in our countries future is a healthy birth, inundated with joyful cries of success, peace and prosperity for all.

Araba,
Nice one - am sure young folks will be glad to participate.
Will give a good chance to talk about what's going on back home, especially as the elections draw near.
Benbiggie.
Yes that’s the idea and more.... keeping a lively and ongoing discussion on important social issues that affect us in Nigeria. There is this antagonism towards individuals in the diaspora when they try to positively contribute to regular discourse on national topics. Just recently Chinua Achebe's comments to BBC were attacked by employees of the Nigerian govt and the man on the street. Their main gripe? "He is over there in the US and does not know what is going on here". But I ask does that exclude him from constructively engaging in gainful discourse on Nigeria?
You know the answer to that! We need to keep the discourse going irrespective of the noise from the sidelines !
nice idea...
God help our country...
especially during this election...
welcome to blogville...
